TAVA MaskParade: This is a virtual exhibit created by members of Textile Artists of Virginia (TAVA).The individual face masks and their respective garden settings were designed to suit the personality and preference of each artist. You can view these masks in their garden settings at https://blogs.lt.vt.edu/simplyelemental2020/category/tava-maskparade/. This is worth the visit. You won't be disappointed.

2021 Events

October 10. Bonnie Hunter workshop: "Jared Takes A Wife." Bonnie K. Hunter is passionate about quilt quilting, focusing mainly on scrap quilts with the simple feeling of "making do." The original quilt was made as a wedding gift using the traditional "Blackford's Beauty" block. Bonnie made it again in Greens, Golds and Purples and kept it for herself! $80 (non-members), $70 (members TQP & FQG). This 6-hour workshop starts at 9:30 am. *October 28-31. This year LQG Retreat will be held at the Skelton 4-H Center Thursday-Sunday, October 28-31. There will be Prizes (including a wheeled cart filled with fabric and goodies), How-to Demonstrations, Movie Nights, CS Threadz, and Fun Interludes. Porters will be available to unload and load cars. 2022 Events

*April 29-30. Lake Quilters Guild Quilt Show will take place April 29-30, 2022. The theme is "Every Story Has a Quilt... Every Quilt Has a Story." It will be held at Bethlehem United Methodist Church on Rt. 122, across the street from the Moneta/SML Library. The exact street address (for your GPS device) is 13586 Old Moneta Rd., Moneta, Virginia. Hours to be announced later. April 28 - May 1. The Virginia Consortium of Quilters 4 day "Celebration of Quilting" retreat with national teachers will be held at SML 4-H Center. The organization is open to everyone interested in quilting, and members come from surrounding states as well as Virginia. Visit www.vcq.org for more information.
