Quilting Bees

Each month a different bee displays some of their work at the general meeting. Bee displays can be viewed in the slide show for that month on the Show & Tell page. The monthly featured bee will also display at the Franklin County Library for the month following the designated general meeting. The following Quilting Bees are available to Lake Quilters Guild members:

BAG LADIES (MARY ANN'S) BEE (Moneta/Bedford). Meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesday at 10am at Mary Ann Spangler's home.

BLUEWATER BEE (Moneta-Franklin). Meets at SML Quilting (Marnie Brush), 1st Tuesday from 10am to 2pm. Projects include baby and lap quilts for charity and improving quilting techniques. Bring a bag lunch. Will not meet in July and August.

BUZZIN BEES (Boones Mill). Meets at Velma Meador's home the 1st Thursday of month 9 until ? Bring a sandwich. Will not meet in August.

HARDY BEE (Moneta Area). Meets at Dot Jackson's home the 4th Tuesday of the month, 9:30am - 11:30am. Various charity projects are being made by this more advance quilting group.

KEPT IN STITCHES (Hillcrest Heights). Meets at Alma Carter's home 1st & 3rd Thursday, 10am - ??? Bring a bag lunch. Drinks will be furnished. Will not meet in July and August.

LADIES OF THE EVENING (Inlet or Deercreek). Meets 1st & 3rd Thursday of the month at 6:30pm.. Contact Paula Stevens. Open to new members.

LAKE PARK BEE (Penhook/Union Hall) meets first and third Tuesdays of each month at the home of Edythe O'Connell from 11:00am to 3:00pm. Experienced and beginner quilters are welcome. Contact Edythe or Susan McLaughlin if you would like to join this bee. Open to new members.

MATERIAL GIRLS. Meets the first & third Tuesday of the month, from 9:30 - 2:30. Bring a bag lunch. Contact: Marcia Wright or Kate Holdgreve. Will not meet in July and August.

RIVER QUEEN BEE (Goodview). Meets the 3rd Tuesday at 12:30pm at Jeanie Ireland's home. Open to new members.

SASSY STITCHERS (Cave Spring area of Roanoke). Meets the 2nd Thursday, 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at St. John Lutheran Church, 4608 Brambleton Ave. SW. Mary Johnson will be their Mentor. Joyce Moorman is program leader and members will take turns in sharing different techniques each month. Contact Joyce Noell if you wish to be a member of this bee. This is a new bee - 2/08. Open to new members.

SHADY LADIES (Moneta Area) meet at Margaret Harmon's home the 1st Monday of the month, 9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Beginning quilting will be their focus. Will not meet in July and August.

SOUTHSIDE BEE (Union Hall area). Meets the second Thursday of each month. From 10am-2pm. Bring a bag lunch. Contact Sandy Randall (daytime hours only) for meeting information.

STITCHES IN TIME (Goodview). This Applique bee meets 2nd Tuesday at 10 am. Call Kinza Pickelsimer for meeting location. Bring a sandwich.

SUNSHINE BEE (White House Corner/Huddleston) meets at Cindy Clark's home, 1st Thursday, 10am to 2pm.
