THE NEWBEE was a beginner bee that met at Trinity Parish on the day of the guild meeting. It was led by Kate Holdgreve. See their display at the May Meeting. Finished projects were shared with the Guild at the September meeting. See September 2006 Meeting Slide Show.

Bee Charity Projects:

2013. (October) The Kept in Stitches Bee presented Alma Carter with a friendship quilt in honor of her service to the bee. View Friendship Quilt.

2007. The Material Girls made a quilt for raffle to benefit the Alzheimer's Association and the Hardy Bee donated a quilt to benefit the charities sponsored by this year's Home Tour. View the quilts and the ladies that made them.

2006. The Shady Ladies and the Material Girls each made quilts to benefit, respectively, Franklin Co. CASA and SML Discovery Shop. View the quilts.

 In the fall of 2005 SOUTHSIDE BEE members of the Lake Quilters Guild donated "Critters" to the Children's Dept. of the Franklin County Library in Rocky Mount. Pictured holding the quilt is Teena Livsey, Charity Committee Co-Chairman. Members worked on the quilt for over a year. The quilt was designed by Betty Hatfield. The quilt will be a permanent display at the library.
