March 3-6, 2008 - Beginning Quilters Program. A special thanks to Kate Holdgreve. The 7 participants in her "Beginning Quilters Program" had a great 4 days . Kate's patience, enthusiasm, and knowledge provided a wonderful learning opportunity where members learned about block construction, borders, quilting, and binding. Watch show and tell during the next few months to see the completed samplers.
February 26, 2008 - February was our annual Charity Quilt-In. We also celebrated Founder’s Day and had a special program-Mary Beckner of Beckner Bears presented "Think Bear". Mary gave a brief history of bears followed by information about their construction. A slide show of the meeting is available on the Show & Tell page.

September 25, 2007 - Connie Broy, designer of the "spin ruler," (made of clear acrylic plastic) conducted a workshop on camouflage patchwork and also did a trunk show of her patchwork quilts called "Take off the Blinders." For more about Connie Bee Quilts, visit www.conniebeequilts.com
July 24, 2007 - Christmas In July. Featured demonstrations included Santa Claus ornaments, fabric bowls, tote bags, sewing bags and kits. Patterns for these exhibits were provided at the July event. April 24, 2007 - International quilting teacher and author of several quilting and applique books, Mimi Dietrich - http://www.mimidietrich.com, presented a trunk show of her award winning Baltimore Album quilts. Some of her quilts can be seen in the slide show of the April Meeting on the Show and Tell page.
March 27, 2007 - Joyce Noell demonstrated the various ways of printing pictures onto fabric. For highlights of the program see Show and Tell, March 2007 Meeting.

January 23, 2007 - Alba Papa - Trunk Show. Alba Papa Slide Show Alba is a LQG member who has been quilting for many years. Through her quilts Alba discussed her quilting experiences and offered piecing tips.
